When we found out at age two that this would require long-term attention, I went full-fledged into entrepreneurship because my employer at the time would not let me work part-time to take Josh to all of his therapy and doctor appointments.
Although 2014 and the proceeding years following were tough years, I never regretted that move because I knew that he deserved the early intervention to nurture his development. I hired a coach and attended networking events and conferences to grow my skills and community.
Because of that decision and intention, I have the freedom and flexibility to give him all the care and attention he needs today.
